Despite being born in the ’90s, GRETA might as well have spent her teenage years knee-deep in the ’80s. Her glamorous pop songs are dripping with nostalgia and her musical universe overflows with vintage synthesizers, punchy electronic beats and artful compositions.
Greta was born in northern Germany and currently lives in Copenhagen. Her beautiful and melodious songs draw their inspiration from icons of pop such as ABBA and Kate Bush. Her lyrics are rooted in Greta’s reflections on both her nearest surroundings and the wholly abstract and inexplicable and revolve around human relationships, life, death and change.
GRETA’s debut album Ardent Spring received sky-high appraisal both in Denmark and internationally. In 2021 alone she has performed on the Danish national broadcast TV show Gaffa Awards, been nominated as Hope of the Year 2020 in Denmark’s most highly acclaimed music award and played in Roskilde Festival’s series of online concerts in early 2021. GRETA’s most recent single Vibrant was released on May 18 and instantly went in rotation on Denmark’s prime radio station DR P3. On June 26, she will be playing at one of Roskilde Festival’s long-awaited and exclusive day shows – upon which a fully packed summer of festivals will follow.
