One of the Faroe Islands’ most treasured artists, Teitur Lassen, has taken on the task of reviving and reimagining old Faroese ballads, rhymes and traditional songs.
He has done so together with Danish band Girls in Airports – although, despite the name, there are no girls in the band.
The result of this collaboration is the album Kvæði, one of the most fascinating releases of 2024.
Late last year they performed a sold-out concert at Finsen, where their unique soundscape was met with glowing praise from everyone present.
