Calby is singer/songwriter and producer Mik Thybo. The songs of the young Dane are born at the intersection of soul pop and indie rock and breathe a certain timelessness. Calby writes his own music and co-produces most songs with Magnus Larsson (member of Lukas Graham) and he records all his music on old 8-track tape recorders using tube microphones. Calby focuses on craftsmanship strong songwriting and themes like love greed and anxiety. It leads to unmistakeable gems like ‘The Million Dollar Song’ and ‘Burnout’.
