Frændur at G! 2026

We are thrilled to announce that Frændur will perform at G! 2026

Few Faroese bands have written as many songs that truly feel like they belong to the people as this iconic group from Klaksvík.
Songs like Dupult song, Eros, Føroyar, and Til tey stressaðu are only a handful from their extensive catalogue of classics.

These songs are woven into Faroese life. They are sung at family gatherings, late-night celebrations, and shared moments among friends—both here in the Faroe Islands and among Faroese communities abroad. Their music has a unique ability to bring people together across generations, creating a powerful sense of unity and belonging.

This spirit of togetherness is exactly what we look forward to at G! Festival: Frændur performing on the beach at Gøtusandur, thousands of voices gathering, listening, and most importantly singing along to the songs we all know by heart. For many international visitors, it is one of the most authentic ways to experience Faroese culture: standing under the northern summer sky, surrounded by locals, sharing the music that binds our small nation together.

G! Festival takes place July 16–18, 2026, and you save 700 kr if you purchase your ticket before Christmas.

You DON'T want to miss it!
