In Memory of Oliver Tree

Our hearts are heavy tonight.

Our hearts are heavy tonight.
It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of Oliver Tree.
This summer, he was meant to take the stage in Syðrugøta and perform for festivalgoers from the Faroe Islands and around the world. That moment will now never come.

Today, we are not thinking about schedules, lineups, or practicalities. We are thinking about a human being. An artist whose life ended far too soon at just 32 years of age. And we are thinking of the family, friends, colleagues, and loved ones left behind in grief.

Music has a unique power to bring people together. Through his songs, creativity, and unmistakable artistic voice, Oliver Tree built a world of his own and touched the lives of countless people across the globe.
Tonight, we send our deepest condolences to all who mourn his loss.

Rest in peace, Oliver.
