GØ at G! – Expect the Unexpected

Experience some of the most sought-after musicians in the Faroese music scene as they come together as GØ and take the stage at G! Festival 2025.

The UK’s leading jazz magazine Jazzwise has featured the Faroese group GØ, giving them high praise. Their album Ævir, amen received 4 out of 5 stars, and their live performance was described as:

"The first time I encountered this Faroese group was at last year's Reykjavík Jazz Festival, and they blew me away with their eclectic exuberance and 'anything goes' approach to music-making. (...) Enjoy Ævir, amen's angular, quirky cinematic soundscapes. Expect the unexpected."

In short—get ready to be blown away. Experience some of the most sought-after musicians in the Faroese music scene as they come together as GØ and take the stage at G! Festival 2025.

Normally, we reveal one name from the G! 2025 lineup every Tuesday, but this week is Spæl Føroyskt (Play Faroese) week, where we focus entirely on Faroese artists—announcing a new name every day. Look forward to Hallur Joensen, Marius DC, Beinir, Benjamin Rajani, Greta Svabo, Jóannes Joensen / Bass Elvis, GÖ, and many more.

G! Festival takes place July 17–19, 2025. You have to be there!
