G! Festival starts today

Thursday, July 18, 2024, Syðrugöta

The G! Festival, which has been held in Syðrugöta since 2002, starts today and continues until Saturday.

With excellent weather, the setup and final preparations have gone well, and many people will be visiting Syðrugöta in the coming days.

The music schedule begins with Enekk, who have had a fundamental influence on Faroese music since the early nineties. Enekk will open the Playground at 5 PM.

At 6 PM, the stage on the beach will open with Einangran, headed by Lea Kampmann and Heiðrik av Heygum, kicking off a night of diverse and exciting music, acts including Samba Toure with his distinctive African Songhoi blues tones from Mali, Sound of the Damned from Greenland, Das Body from Norway, Icelandic GRÓA, Danish party makers Spectors (Untz Untz Untz), and Dutch Personal Trainer.

Additionally, there will be an exciting schedule in Fjósið with, among others, Elinborg, a release concert with Silvurdrongur, Ragnar Finsson, and a film screening earlier in the day.

The festivities already started yesterday in the camping area and in the hot tubs on the beach. So come to Syðrugöta for an unforgettable start to the festival, with excellent music, good company, and the best of Faroese hospitality and festivity.
