Hogni plays G!

Hogni is a Faroese musician, music writer and producer, and consistently one of the best acts on the Faroese Music scene over the last 20 years.

Hogni has played some of the best concerts we've ever had at the G! Festival, gaining plaudits from festival guests and press.

Hailing from at the neighbouring village to Gøta, Leirvík, Hogni had his first appearance on the inaugural G! Festival back in 2002, as the drummer in ethno-rock band Clickhaze featuring G! founder Jón Tyril , Eivør Pálsdóttir and Jens L. Thomsen of Orka fame.

Høgni released his first solo album, Most Beautiful Things[ in 2003. The album reached number 2 on the sales charts on the Faroe Islands, kickstarting his career.

He has toured with Badly Drawn Boy and Paolo Nutini, and played SXSW, Midem, Roskilde Festival, Iceland Airwaves, Italia Wave Love Festival, and venues all over Europe.

His albums "Haré! Haré!", "Con Man" and "Call for a Revolution" are some of the best albums released in the Faroe Islands, and over the years he's fine tuned his live act, and now is considered one of the best live acts in the country.
