Byrta return to G!

Faroese Electro Pop Duo Byrta are returning to the stage after years in hiatus. The concert will mark the 10th anniversary for their debut album Byrta.

The album rocketed them to the top of the Faroese music scene, picking up three awards at the Faroese Music Awards, Best Album, Best Act and Best New Act.

With hit songs like Norðlýsið and Loyndarmál, the duo of producer and musician Janus Rasmussen and singer and songwriter Guðrið Hansdóttir, played sold out shows and festivals, always creating a party.

While both members have been active as solo artists and in other acts, such as Kiasmos and Kata, they haven't released a single as Byrta since their hit single "Hennara Dansigólv" back in 2018. But as a celebration of the 10th anniversary, they have been in the studio working on new material, so look forward to more great electro pop at this years G! Festival.

They join a line-up of Jada(DK), Bríet (IS), Eivör(FO), Marius Ziska(FO) Brimheim (FO/DK), Lucky Lo (SE), Irene (FI), follow us here to see even more announcements over the coming days.
