The 2016 G! Sweater and Cap

Navia has revealed this year’s special G! sweater and cap.

Beautiful wool sweaters/jumpers are a Faroese tradition, and every year's G! Festival has its own special design.

The G!16 Sweater is knitted according to the Blásastova pattern from Norðragøta, the historic village just a stone’s throw from the festival, where the saga legend Tróndur í Gøtu once lived and where G! Festival attendees camp today.

The sweater is knitted with a mixture of fine inner wool and course outer wool, making the sweater warm, light, and water-repellant.

The G!16 cap is inspired by the Faroese cap pattern that is part of any real Faroese man’s national costume. The cap is knitted with Navia’s finer 4-ply yarn.

To buy the G!16 products, you can visit the main shop of Navia, which is located in the Faroese village of Toftir, or their second shop in the SMS mall in Tórshavn. Navia will also have a stand at G! Festival with a great selection available for purchase by festival guests.
