The Perfect Summer Day

The weather in the Faroe Islands can be a little... unpredictable. But on Thursday we were treated to brilliant sunshine and blue skies, and everyone slipped right into summer style.

Every year we get excited about a few big headliners at G!. Yesterday, Rag'n'Bone and Swangah both drew excited crowds for unforgettable performances.

But G! is about more than that. It's also about the cozy little corner and intimate smaller performances. It's about eating good food, jumping into the salty sea, making new friends in the hot tubs, singing in the sauna, working on that elusive nordic tan, and enjoying the special atmosphere that changes from place to place and moment to moment.

And when the weather is as beautiful as it was today, that atmosphere becomes even more delightful. All around the village and the beach, people went into full summer mode, relaxing, socialising, and having fun in the sun.

And now the beautiful schooner Norðlýsið has sailed into the fjord to complete the picture-perfect setting.

With a beginning like this, we are so excited to see what the rest of this years G! Festival brings!
