Blue Giant Orkestar – Earth-quaking, brain-melting, brass-tastic tune-machine.

A tunetastic, trans-European, gold-plated instrumental Hydra, BGO is like the mythical beast with multiple heads—only these heads blast nuclear brass, searing fiddle, pounding tuba, one enormous Russian concert accordion, and a percussion section powerful enough to flatten your house.

Fuelled by Balkan horos, Serbian brass festivals, Turkish pop songs, Bulgarian accordion fireworks, and even a bit of Scottish ceilidh (traditional dance music), they deliver powerful and intricate originals alongside arrangements from a wide range of folk traditions.

Formed in late 2019, they've since lit up stages at festivals like Knockengorroch, Kelburn Garden Party, Feis Na Mara, Lancaster Music Festival, and Celtic Connections, as well as riotous hometown gigs in Edinburgh. Their debut album, Constellate, dropped in February 2024, featuring guest musicians from all across Europe.

Expect nothing less than a party for your body, a teaser for your brain, and a salve for your heart.

You simply can’t miss them at G!, July 17–19, 2025!
