Greta Svabo – Philosophical Depths

Faroese artist Greta Svabo now lives in the French countryside, where she writes and records her own music—often outdoors, using just a microphone and a reel-to-reel tape recorder.

Her songs are timeless, filled with philosophical depthand a sense of universal awareness. And when she performs live, there’s no doubt: You are in the presence of a star.

She has been Grammy-nominated and has worked on releases with world-renowned artists like Deadmau5, The Bloody Beetroots, Cher, and Ludovico Einaudi.

We are both proud and grateful that we have secured Greta Svabo for G! Festival 2025.

Normally, we reveal one name from the G! 2025 lineup every Tuesday, but this week is Spæl Føroyskt (Play Faroese) week, where we focus entirely on Faroese artists—announcing a new name every day. Look forward to Hallur Joensen, Marius DC, Beinir, Benjamin Rajani, Greta Svabo, and many more.

G! Festival takes place July 17–19, 2025.
