Faroese moods from Einangran added to the G! 2024 lineup

We are thrilled to announce that Faroese super duo, Einangran, will take the stage at next year’s G! Festival. This is also the first Faroese act to be announced for 2024.

On rare occasions, we are all fortunate enough to witness how the stars align and pure magic happens. Einangran is in many ways such a happy accident.

When the Covid pandemic hit like a meteor, it smashed all cultural and social existence into oblivion. But out of those gray ashes grew and blossomed a most beautiful flower, Einangran.

From isolation in a Copenhagen apartment began a collaboration between the two Faroese local stars, Lea Kampmann and Heiðrik á Heygum. To pass time and to spread comfort during those difficult days they started having little performances on Instagram. This quickly evolved into an actual songwriting collaboration between the two. Thus, the “super duo” Einangran was born. Since then they have truly earned their place in the heart of the Faroese people.

In the skillful hands of producers Janus Rasmussen and Sakaris, they managed to reach a result of timeless songwriting combined with a highly modern sound. There is an extraordinary warmth enclosed in their songs and their vocal performances always sound sincere and present.

Songs like "Vetur," "Seinferð," "Glashús," and "Koyri heim" have become instant classics to the Faroese audience.

The full-length album "Vendir Vindar” was released this fall, at which time they also performed with their band to a completely sold-out Nordic House in Tórshavn.

Many will nod their heads and agree that there is such a thing as “a special Faroese or Nordic mood” in music. Although this is a concept which is difficult  to grab out of the thin air, you can expect to receive just that when Einangran gets on stage for the 2024 edition of G! Festival.

This is the fourth name revealed by the festival following the announcement of Icelandic indie rock band Of Monsters and Men, the Norwegian hip-hop sensation Ash Olsen, and the English sea shanty stars The Longest Johns, who will also perform at G! Festival.
