Talk Panel: Musikbevægelsen af 2019.

A union of +2000 women and gender minorities in Danish Music

Musikbevægelsen af 2019 will do their first festival talk with Danish and Faroese artists including Brimheim, Jasmin, and Benedicte Pierleoni-Nielsen (drummer in Baby in Vain). With moderator Mai Young Øvlisen from Danish-Korean band Meejah, curator of Musikbevægelsen's Instagram profile. Maybe Greta and Eivør will stop by too!

The panel will discuss equality, safe spaces, role models, artistry, gender, representation, and being a part of a big community.

Musikbevægelsen just won the Danish music critics' award “Steppeulven 2021” for “Årets Initiativ” for making progress, fostering new voices and equality initiatives in Danish Music.

In fall 2020 the newspaper Politiken published testimonials and experiences with sexism within the music industry by 97 members of Musikbevægelsen as a part of the Danish #Metoo wave.

The talk is a part of “KØN MUSIK” supported by KODA.
