A unique project, in which creative energies have thrived and shaped, is now being unveiled to the public.
 
For the launch of G! 2020, the renowned artist from the village of Klaskvík, Edward Fuglø, has made an installation, which builds upon the well-known, distinct G! logo. The installation will be used as the foundation of the graphical identity for the festival taking place 16.-18. July in 2020.
 
Edward reflects about the project: “G! is so much more than just a festival. G! is a phenomenon. As time has passed, G! has grown into an arena of star-made moments and has firmly put the village of Gøta and indeed The Faroe Islands on the international festival map. Ever since the pioneers started G!, the key components that make up the festival have been the approach in being original, thinking forward, inclusion, streams of creativity and a stage for trailblazing music... not to mention the welcoming hospitality, the cheerful atmosphere, the local atmosphere and the sense of adventure and dreaming. All of this creates a very special mood, which is what I aim to capture with my G! installation”.
 
Edward’s installation will be on display inside the municipality house in Norðagøta until 15. January 2020.
