G! 2019 -- The Food
When one thinks of festivals, what comes to mind is music, chill vibes and cool parties. But this year, G! guests can also think of food.
There are more than 13 food vendors at this year's G! Festival, with options ranging from ramen to fish and chips.
But not just any food is being sold. The G! organizers made sure that every vendor present met high standards for quality.
Kristfríð Tyril says the quality of all options is up to very high standards. For example, the juice is good and freshly squeezed. They also had to pay attention to the selection, so that it was broad and included different dietary preferences and needs, such as vegetarian meals. They wanted the G! menu to include more than sausages and ordinary meat.
One great example of this focus on quality is Brioche, who brought their foodtruck north to Gøta for the festival. Recently, the foodtruck has become famous for driving around the Faroes selling amazing burgers. Kristfríð Tyril thinks that this is a good example of the food at G! "Brioche uses meat from free-range cattle and other quality ingredients."
Something new this year is alcohol-free beer! Recently this responsible choice has been gaining popularity throughout Europe, and the Faroes are no exception. There are many festival guests who woul dlike to drink beer without becoming incapacitated or drunk. Beer is for many at the heart of the festival experience, but that doesn't mean it has to be intoxicating.
There is something for everyone to both eat and drink at G!, and the selection keeps getting broader and better.
