A Room of One's Own

The art collective, GUT//Productions are going to read own material about MONEY and ROOM. They will also be reading passages from the essay ‘A Room of One’s Own’ by Virginia Woolf.

"a woman must have money and a room of her own if she is to write fiction." Virginia Woolf (1929)

GUT//Production have begun the preparations for their third and final part, in the series that sprung from trying to answering the question ‘Who are the women missing in The Faroe Islands?’ through performance art. This third part is inspired by Virginia Woolf and especially her essay ‘A Room of One’s Own’ which was published in 1929.

The art collective will be trying out new material in front of an audience for the first time at the reading in Fjósið. Maybe the material will make it to the end product - maybe not. It’s an experiment and you are all invited to check it out.

We are incredibly excited!
