ORIGIN (UPPHAV)

In ORIGIN, the story of our collective grief is brought to the stage in Fjósid. The untold story offers a new perspective on life by the sea - our greatest friend and enemy. The solo performance, created by Gunnvá Zachariassen (TVAZZ) and Marita S. Dalsgaard (Leikhús SKIFT), has been described as a memorial to our foremothers. It is based on the tragedy that struck the small island of Hest on April 1, 1919, when two open fishing boats were lost and eleven men perished at sea. UPPHAV has already toured across the country and in Copenhagen. This summer, it will be performed at G! Festival.
