Tunghoyrt at G! 2026

The newest rock sensation on the Faroe Islands is called Tunghoyrt.

The band were the very first act to take the stage at the sold-out G! Festival in 2025, and rarely—if ever—has such a large crowd gathered at the opening show as early as 5:00 PM on a Thursday at G! Festival. That alone says a lot: this band, made up of four 19-year-olds, has already become hugely popular.

And it’s easy to understand why. This is a full-on energy bomb with something to prove. The drums and bass lock in a powerful groove, the guitar explores sounds you may never have heard before, and at the front is a wild, funny, and utterly captivating vocalist. This is everything you could want from a rock band—and living proof that rock is far from dead, despite what people have been saying in recent years.

They’ve just released two singles from their upcoming debut release. We’re excited to follow Tunghoyrt’s journey and to hear them again at G! Festival 2026, taking place 16–18 July next summer.
This is one you cannot miss.
