Annika Hoydal, Queen of Faroese music, celebrated her 70th birthday in 2015 with the release of her latest album Endurljós. For the last 50 years she has been a vital presence on the Faroese cultural stage as a Singer, Songwriter and Actor. Annika debuted in the mid 60’s as part of the influential folk band Harkaliðið and made her solo debut in the 70’s. Her songs are ubiquitous in Faroese society and you can expect everyone to join in unison when she performs live. History made present!
