Faroese Singer, Songwriter Rebekka Petersen released her self produced ‘Vekt’ album in 2018. 'Vekt' meaning 'Weight', a reflection upon feeling heavy. Introspective lyrics projecting anxieties and existential wonderings, combine beautifully with her dreamy, melancholy melodies. Rebekka moved her gear in to an old cheese factory 'Ostahúsið' for seven days, and recorded most of the album there.

She has an ambivalent relationship towards making music. She loves to write and record, but feels awkward about performing, and we feel blessed to host this performance at G! this year. 

The release has gained support in both Germany and Poland, landing on the Apple Music best of the week in Denmark, and back home receiving regular rotation on Faroese national radio.
