Bodypaint is a Faroese/British 30 plus boyband, which basically makes them a manband. The band is a collaboration between producers and songwriters Sakaris Emil Joensen, Janus Rasmussen and Tom Hannay. They released their debut singles “The Line” and “It’s Happening to Us Now” in 2018 to much acclaim, being immediately booked by the Iceland Airwaves festival. The Reykjavik Grapevine took note of Bodypaint as an “unsynchronized boyband” with the lead singer being “a spitting image of nineties pop sensation Peter Andre”, before finally giving in and handing out a rave review, despite the presence of Peter Andre.
On stage, Bodypaint is pure party, with the 3 guys charming the audience with boyband harmonies and abs, stage presence and insanely hummable pop bangers. No choreographed dance moves, though.
