Kris Kristofferson is an artist of significant distinction to many generations of Faroese, indeed, amongst the most revered Artists of all time. First discovered, and brought back to the Islands in the 60's by Faroese sailors landing in Newfoundland, his music permeated the fabric of the remote society, who adopted his songs and music as if it were their own. To the wider world, kris is know as a song writer, principally for winning three Grammy’s and recording 28 albums, including 3 with pals including Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings. By 1987 it was estimated that more than 450 Artists had recored and covered Kris’s compositions. Kris is also recognised for his prolific Acting career after gaining the attention of Hollywood, going on to appear in over 70 films, notably winning the Golden Globe for Best Actor in ‘A Star is Born’. 

Kris continues to record, perform and travel the world in 2017 including Glastonbury Festival in June, and it is an honour to have him appear at G! Festival, on behalf and in support of the Children’s home in Torshavn.
